Every winner is a person who does not let age limit his or her active lifestyle. Every winner makes every day count and this is what Skyetone was looking for when they started the campaign and decided on the winners. For example, Bonnie Tasch is a 27-year resident of Colorado, and she believes that life is full of adventures and ought to be lived to the fullest. She is an avid hiker and along with her husband, Bud, has scaled some of Colorado’s summits over 14,000 feet high. The adventure does not stop there. She and her husband enjoy kayaking and hiking, as well as, volunteering at the local and Arizona food banks too. Charlie Winger is a passionate and dedicated 55+ senior, and an inspiration to many, who revels in his life and makes every moment count by hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, ice climbing and cross-country skiing. He has also co-authored several recreational guidebooks and a memoir about his marvellous and many adventures. He states that his outdoor adventures make him feel exceptionally good and gives him a major sense of accomplishment.

Judith Boyd is a truly unique person and has been extremely inspirational through her fashion blog StyleCrone.com. Style came to her in the form of vintage hats which she incorporated into her everyday wardrobe while working as a master’s level psychiatric nurse at Denver General Hospital. This fashionista blogger touched the lives of many of her patients and bonded with them in a way she never expected because of her sense of fashion. As a woman, she began concentrating on her daily wear and started with hats. She purchased vintage hats which she incorporated into her outfits. The new look was greatly appreciated by her patients and helped her form more meaningful relationships with them. For Judith, it was a form of meditation and helped her prepare for the day. This unique personality has been responsible for running several hat and headwear businesses. This includes Head Hat Peace, created for chemotherapy patients who have lost their hair due to the treatment. Cancer is something which both, Judith and her husband are familiar with. She and her husband fought cancer for five years. This was the time when she, with her husband’s encouragement, began her blog, which is one of AARP’s favorite blogs by seniors. She began blogging about her experience and was quite touched by the response she received by people from all over the world. Now, she blogs about the change in her and about how she, and her husband, had moved forward.

The fourth winner, of the contest, Bonnie Bowman, is an exceptionally spirited and successful businesswoman. For 18 years, she managed one of Colorado’s top 100 women-owned businesses, Contract Design Services before starting Commercial Flooring. After retirement, in early 2013, she took an extended vacation in Florida. Bowman says the people of Colorado are exceptionally active and makes her feel young and invigorated. She enjoys driving to Estes Park, up to Vail or the foothills.

Chuck Beckman and his wife, find they have absolutely no time as retirement is busier than working. This On the Move couple, are busy with some activity each day. Not that Chuck is complaining! He loves his new lifestyle and claims that it “suits him just fine”. Chuck and his wife make it a point to live by their philosophy of “keeping active” every day despite the little aches and pains. They are determined not to let this get them down and involve themselves with as many activities and events around Denver. Beckman found a new vocation volunteering at Kaiser Permanente as a wellness instructor after enjoy a successful career in restaurant and food service sales. The new vocation was discovered through his own personal experience, as Beckman has been living with diabetes for six decades.
