The choice just got a little bit more difficult with the addition of a new, gatedcommunity with 132 minimum-maintenance homes. This is a new community that opened in 2011. About New Braunfels, Texas

The city of New Braunfels, Texas is a fun place to be in. This city has a proud German heritage which is quite apparent in various ways. For example, “braunfels” means brown stone in German. The city’s newspaper is called the Herald Zeitung. Zeitung was originally a newspaper published in German until it was merged in 1967 with the Herald. Life in Braunfels is serene and peaceful but also quite exciting. This is a charming, tourist town and good times are just a hop, skip and a jump away from your own peaceful home.

There is boating or floating down Canyon Lake, visiting the Dry Comal Creek Vineyards for wine tasting and visiting the Conservation Plaza where you can see an actual replica of a German village from the 1800s. Another great attraction in New Braunfels is Landa Park. This is 51-acres of scenic trails and picnic areas. Landa Park also offers you the Landa Park Aquatic Complex and Landa Park Miniature Golf Course. More than 40 species of native, exotic and endangered wildlife can be seen at the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. As you can see, New Braunfels, Texas has everything that you can think of to make your active adult lifestyle extremely exciting and fulfilling.

The Enclave at Westpointe Village

This is a brand new retirement community designed by Jimmy Jacobs, the most famous custom-home builder in Central Texas. Homes in this community are single family detached comfortably-sized custom homes built for the active adult ranging in price from $250,000 to $350,000. Homes feature two bedrooms, two baths and two car garages. Every home has a den that can be used as a cozy TV room or a reading nook. The interior of the homes feature ten-foot ceilings. Crown molding is featured in the foyers, entries, kitchens, dining rooms and master bedrooms. Except for the bathrooms, utility rooms and breakfast areas, the rest of the floor is carpeted.

This is a place where you can enjoy privacy, open spaces and views that you will not find in any other community. The Clubhouse provides community members the ability to golf, swim, workout and dine to their heart’s content. If you wish for a home that fits your budget but does not compromise on style and craftsmanship, the Enclave at Westpointe Village will definitely fit the bill.
