You can visit the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville for an awesome space exploration experience. You can also visit the IMAX Theater or visit the museum showcasing rockets and space hardware from the US space program. If the historical side of Alabama intrigues you, you can follow the history trail of the civil rights movement and visit actual sites in Birmingham, Selma, Montgomery and Tuskegee. Take a trip to the south of Alabama and head to Mobile, a major sea port, and be awed by the things you will see at the USS Alabama Battleship Park. You can stroll along and enjoy the sea breeze while walking on the soft, white beaches of Gulf Shores or enjoy the music and festivals held at various times of the year.
