This is a master-planned community at an elevation of 3,000 feet, where almost a third of the area is dedicated to open spaces where most of it is preserved land. The Highlands is an age-restricted, gated, active adult community comprised of 1,297 single-family detached homes. Prices for these homes start at $175,000. Construction of homes for this community began in 1997, and homes in this community are built in a square area between 1,111 and 2,550. Homes consist of 2 – 3 bedrooms, 2 – 2.5 bathrooms, gourmet kitchens, spacious sitting and dining areas etc. The best feature about homes at the Highlands is the breathtaking views of the city lights of Tucson and the golf course views.

Amenities at the Community

The Highlands at Dove Mountains offer a number of amenities, at the 29,000 square foot clubhouse that make life interesting and exciting for those who live here. For example, golf is a game which is pretty popular among seniors. The golf at the Highlands appeals to all skill levels and is extremely fun. In addition, it is greatly visually stimulating as you can gaze for miles at the unbound greenery and picturesque setting around you. Other amenities of the community include four lighted, grass, tennis courts, a fitness center with state-of-the-art facilities and a variety of fitness classes, a 25-yard recreational pool and a therapy spa. Apart from this, there is a beautifully decorated ballroom, library, craft room, billiard room etc. This community has a year-round social calendar that ensures fun activities for all residents. There is a full-time Activities Director who organizes activities for its residents that keep them occupied and happy all year long. There are arts and crafts, special theme dinners and buffets, special events parties and a host of other activities to enjoy.

About the Builder

The main section of the community and a majority of it were built by US Home Corporation. However, the final phase of building was completed by Lennar Homes.
